Bodies in Motion offers a simplified studio licensing model based on studio size, providing unlimited access to an expanding collection of 150,000 high-quality reference images, 3D scans, facial expressions, and early access to new features — including a ground-breaking PoseSearch tool.

1 License Grant
1.1Grant of Rights
Licensor grants Licensee a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable commercial license to access and use the Bodies in Motion reference library (“Licensed Materials”) for reference purposes in commercial creative projects.
1.2Licensed Materials
- All photographic motion sequences
- All 3D body scans with lighting variations
- Facial expression libraries
- Historical Muybridge collection
- All new content added during the license term
1.3Permitted Uses
Licensed Materials may be used as reference for:
- Character animation and motion studies
- 3D modeling and anatomy reference
- Concept art and illustration
- Technical and artistic training
- Creative development and pre-production
2 Usage Restrictions
2.1Reference Only
Licensed Materials are for reference purposes only and may not be used as final assets in any commercial product, marketing material, or public distribution.
2.2Derivative Works
Licensee may create unlimited derivative works based on Licensed Materials, including original characters, animations, and artwork. Derivative works must represent a substantive creative or technical transformation. Direct tracings or reproductions without original artistic authorship are prohibited.
2.3Prohibited Actions
- Direct use of photos/scans as textures or final imagery
- Distribution of Licensed Materials to third parties
- Sublicensing or resale of access
- Systematic or bulk downloading of Licensed Materials
- Creating competing reference services
2.4No Attribution Required
Commercial works created using Licensed Materials as reference do not require attribution.
3 License Structure
3.1License Tier
This license tier is based on total studio size. “Employees” includes all full-time, part-time, and regular contractors. Studio size is self-reported on the honor system.
3.2Studio Definition
“Studio” means a single legal entity at a single primary location, including all remote workers. Organizations with any of the following require an Enterprise license:
- Multiple office/studio locations
- Subsidiary or sister companies
- Over 500 employees
4 Access and Security
4.1Access
Licensee receives one universal studio login credential. Enterprise licensees with multiple locations may request one login per location. Licensee is responsible for credential security. IP-based login authentication provides additional security and is configured during setup.
5 Commercial Terms
5.1Fees
Annual license fee as specified for selected tier. Payment due within 30 days of invoice. All fees are non-refundable.
5.2Term
One year term with automatic renewal unless 30 days’ notice is given.
6 Intellectual Property
6.1Ownership
Licensor retains all rights to Licensed Materials. Licensee owns all derivative works created in compliance with this Agreement.
6.2Warranty
Licensor warrants it has full rights to license Materials with all necessary releases obtained.
7 Liability and Indemnification
7.1Limitation
Each party’s liability is limited to fees paid in the prior 12 months. No liability for indirect damages.
7.2Indemnification
Each party will defend the other against third-party claims arising from their breach of this Agreement.
8 Termination
8.1Termination Events
- Non-payment after 30 days notice
- Material breach unremedied after 30 days
- End of term without renewal
8.2Effect
Access ends immediately upon termination. Completed derivative works may be used in perpetuity.
9 General Terms
9.1Governing Law
Governed by laws of England and Wales.
9.2Entire Agreement
This Agreement supersedes all prior agreements. Modifications require written consent.
9.3Assignment
Not assignable without written consent, except in merger/acquisition.
Acceptance
By purchasing a license, Licensee agrees to these terms.
